AFP-North Dakota to Host National School Choice Week Celebration at State Capitol

Bismarck, ND – Americans for Prosperity–North Dakota (AFP–ND) will co-host The Power of Choice: An Education Celebration at the North Dakota State Capitol on January 27 to mark National School Choice Week. The event, organized alongside American Experiment North Dakota, the National School Choice Awareness Foundation, and EdChoice, comes on the heels of Gov. Kelly Armstrong’s recent proclamation declaring January 25-31 School Choice Week in North Dakota.

The following representatives from each organization will be present:

  • AFP-ND State Director Justin Forde
  • AFP-ND Deputy State Director Megan Indvik
  • American Experiment North Dakota Executive Director Jennifer Benson
  • American Experiment Policy Fellow Catrin Wigfall
  • EdChoice Policy and Advocacy Director Aaron Gillham

The event will take place in Memorial Hall inside the Capitol Building and give the students who represent the future of the state a chance to talk directly with their lawmakers about the importance of having a range of options for their education. It will feature students, parents, and educators as speakers who can offer their unique perspectives on the importance of school choice. Hot cocoa and waffles will be offered, and students will also have a chance to win a pizza party for their school!
