AFP-ND Renews Calls to End State Income Tax as Residents Begin Filing
Bismarck, ND – Tax Day is here, and Americans for Prosperity-North Dakota (AFP-ND) renewed its calls for lawmakers to end the Roughrider State’s income tax and allow residents to keep every dollar they earn.
Eliminating the tax on personal income is one of the main pillars in AFP-ND’s Road to Opportunity policy agenda. Not only would it save money for North Dakota families, but it would also foster economic growth, attract new business ventures, and increase the state’s overall competitive edge with its neighbors.
“You work hard, you should keep more of your hard-earned money,” AFP-ND State Director Justin Forde said. “Many states have no income tax, so if you want to continue to be competitive and North Dakota wants to continue to rise up, we’ve got to eliminate our income tax on corporate businesses and eliminate our income tax on individuals.”
